Often Wander partners with brands, businesses, hotels, retailers, and creative teams to create custom candles that feel thoughtful, distinctive, and true to their identity.
Whether you're looking for a signature scent for your space, a candle to sell alongside your existing collection, client gifting, or something special for an event, we can tailor the process to fit your vision.
Every candle is hand-poured in small batches in our San Francisco studio using soy wax, premium fragrance and essential oils, and lead-free cotton wicks.
MAKE IT YOUR OWN
There are a few ways we can bring your candle to life. Keep things simple by choosing an existing Often Wander fragrance and vessel, or work with us to develop something completely custom.
Depending on your project, we can customize:
FRAGRANCE
Choose from our library of existing Often Wander fragrances or work with us to develop a signature scent specifically for your brand.
Custom fragrance development is a collaborative process. We'll learn about your brand, the feeling you're hoping to create, fragrances you're drawn to, and the space or experience where the candle will live, then translate that into scent.
VESSELS
Choose from one of our existing candle vessels or work with us to find something that better suits your project. We can also work with approved vessels sourced by you or an outside vendor.
Over the years we've poured candles into everything from classic glass and ceramics to vintage vessels and other unexpected finds.
LABELS + PACKAGING
Your candle can be finished with custom labels and packaging designed to feel cohesive with your brand.
We're happy to work directly with your in-house designer or provide guidance on label sizing, materials, and production. If you need design support, we can also connect you with one of the graphic designers we work with.

Some projects begin with an existing Often Wander scent and a custom label. Others start completely from scratch — developing the fragrance, vessel, and finishing details together.

HOW IT WORKS
01 — Tell us about your project
We'll start with your vision, approximate quantity, desired timeline, budget, and how you plan to use the candles.
02 — Choose your level of customization
Select an existing Often Wander fragrance and vessel, or work with us to develop a custom scent and explore additional vessel and packaging options.
03 — Develop + approve
For custom projects, we'll create samples and refine the fragrance with you. Labels, vessels, and other custom elements are approved before production begins.
04 — We make your candles
Once everything is approved, your candles are hand-poured, finished, and packed in our San Francisco studio.
PROJECT DETAILS
Private label projects begin at 50 candles.
Pricing depends on quantity and the level of customization involved. Existing Often Wander fragrances and vessels offer the simplest path, while custom fragrance development, specialty vessels, labels, and packaging are quoted according to the needs of each project.
Standard production typically begins at 3–4 weeks once all project details have been finalized and approved. Fully custom projects may require additional development time.
