This Mala is hand made with beautiful White Onyx beads. White Onyx is used to purify negative energy and as an amulet to keep your life focused. It is also associated with strengthening one's physical stamina and one's immune system. White Onyx in particular activates the crown chakra, at the top of the head. This chakra is the gateway to the expanded universe, so White Onyx is very much connected with finding one's own place within the universe.
Each beautiful one of kind Mala necklace is completely unique and made with love. Every bead is hand strung and knotted 108 times. Mala's are traditionally used during yoga or meditation to be counted to help focus on reciting mantras. The number 108 is a spiritually significant number. Why 108 beads? There are lots of beliefs as to why Mala necklaces are strung with 108 beads and why that number is significant. There are believed to be 108 Indian goddess names, 108 lines of energy going to the heart chakra. Or that there are 108 feelings, 36 related to the past, 36 related to the present, and the 36 related to the future.
Each mala necklace is adorned with an Often Wander tag, which will hopefully inspire you to set an intention with your mala and wear it carrying that intention with you.
Handmade in San Diego and San Francisco, CA.

I appreciate that Sarah tried to match color of the tassel with the color of my white onyx beads. She checked with me first to see if it was ok if they were not perfectly matched, which I agreed to. I would have preferred for the colors to be a closer match (the beads are white and the tassel is cream) but it is close enough. Sometimes you want a contrasting or a complementary tassel color, but for white beads, I think many would like a closely matching tassel color. Thanks again for your customer service.
