Nipomo — Mexican Blanket
The blankets are designed by Nipomo's home base in San Francisco and hand woven in central Mexico by skilled artisans.
"We are so grateful to be able to work directly with this community of weavers and help support their craft."
First off the warp is prepared for the looms.
The colored yarn is transferred from larger cones to canillas (smaller spools), and then either passed through the loom by hand (for detailed sections) or in a shuttle (for larger colored areas) all on their beautiful wooden floor looms.
